Charla O’Dea is a retired kindergarten/special education teacher in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Her work in public education often uncovered a need for intervention in homes impacted by violence and abuse. After retiring from four decades of public education instruction, Charla has dedicated time to service projects supporting children and community education. With a heart focused on the well-being of children and families, Charla serves as Chief Operating Officer and Grant Writer for the Shirley Speaks Foundation. She is a proud member of this amazing team of professionals assisting survivors of violence who seek a life of peace.
